Paul Pierce, now with the Washington Wizards, continues to score buckets but tonight marked a significant milestone when he passed none other than Jerry West aka The Logo aka Mr.Clutch for the 17th spot on the NBA all time scoring list. The 37 year old Pierce averages just over 21 ppg for his career and looks to be the deciding veteran factor for the Wizards this season. Paul's big shot occurs 30 seconds into the video.
Tony Allen put on a show Sunday night in a 107-91 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. Allen uses the superb pick by Marc Gasol to get Matt Barnes off him and gets Glen Davis with the behind the back fake and lays it up and in. Davis isn't exactly the most agile or athletic big in the NBA so this move might not have worked against a slot blocker like Deandre Jordan but an exquisite move to get the Grizzlies the 2 points nonetheless.
Quite impressive but it only forced me to go back and watch this. Beautiful basketball all around.
