Stoudemire heading to Dallas

Amar'e Stoudemire was bought out by the New York Knicks shortly after the completion of all star weekend Sunday night. Dallas has shown interest in the big man, even dropping Ricky Ledo in order to have a spot for him on the roster. The Mavericks have been in need of solid backup center ever since trading Brandon Wright in order to acquire Rajon Rondo. While it is very unlikely Stoudemire will return to the dominant force he was in Phoenix 10 years ago the Mavs hope he can show glimpses of greatness in limited minutes.  He gave this statement upon being signed to the Mavericks.
